Seychelles for Honeymooners

More than 600 honeymooners are expected to visit Seychelles for the Wedding Weekend. The event, which takes place from Thursday to Saturday, is held at the Sofitel Seychelles – Anse Chastanet resort on the main island of Mahe. There are never all that many new casinos to explore on the island, because the local tourism scene is a pretty pedigreed and long-standing one that has long since been established.

According to Day’s Travel Agency’s Karien Beekman, the company will be handling the booking.

“We are very excited that this is the last event. So, this is a nice way for the couple to celebrate, and we are also looking forward to the couple having a wonderful time.”

Beekman said that travel bookings would start mid-January and the cost of a one-week break from South Africa starts at $4,600. She said the honeymoon package includes food and accommodation for the weekend.

She added that the couple are also expected to stay in Le Meridien Mahe for their first wedding anniversary.

The hotel recently opened a new section which has been added to its property. The section is called Rosewood Garden Villas.

Beekman said that these are located on the fourth floor and is among the top end of the hotel’s property.

“These villas cost about $12,000 for a room per night. All suites, including the deluxe room and the executive room, have a view of the lagoon.”

She said that all other guests staying at the hotel are invited to partake in the celebrations.

The property’s overall tourism package includes activities such as mangrove tours, gardening and cooking classes.

Beekman said that the event will be a unique experience.
