Bella and Ollys’ London wedding was a joy for us to work on. Co-ordinated by expert wedding planners, The Bespoke Wedding Company, the day was full of style, elegance and glamour. When the mother of the bride asks you to take your inspiration from the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, you just have to go with it! Stunning blues and pinks, accented with rich wine, made the perfect colour palette for this very stylish event.

Classical Urns, filled with delphiniums, hydrangeas and trailing amaranthus, together with pew ends of hydrangea and trailing ivy, set the tone for the church ceremony.

To complement her gown from Sassi Holford, Bella carried a beautiful bouquet of orchids, hydrangeas, snowberry and scented stephanotis.

For the reception at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, the glittering ballroom was the setting for lavish table arrangements of hydrangeas, lisianthus, dahlias, snowberry and amaranthus, together with stunning stationery by Chartula. One of our favourite photographers, Pippa Mackenzie captured the day with her beautiful photography, more of which you can see on her blog here.

Using the beautiful chinoiserie decoration as our inspiration, we chose a colour palette of pinks, whites, creams and soft apricot, accented with gold which just oozed glamour!

We loved all the elements of this photo shoot. The brief was to create a sophisticated and classic look, in a relaxed country setting. Exquisite detailing included flowers in shades of white and cream, arranged luxuriously en masse for the reception table. Additional small arrangements of scented Norma Jean roses in miniature classical urns, together with mercury votives and candlesticks gave a sophisticated finish.

It was all in the detail when it came to the bridal flowers. The ‘groom’ sported a buttonhole of white hydrangea, stephanadra leaves and Queen Anne’s Lace, whilst the ‘bride’ carried a hand-tied bouquet of white freesia, poppy heads and astrantia; perfect for a country setting.

A wedding just wouldn’t be a wedding without cake and, Zoe Clark from The Cake Parlour does exceedingly good cakes! We complemented her gorgeous ruffled wedding cake by dressing the table with soft carpet moss, trailing amaranthus, snowberry and delicate Queen Anne’s lace. For a final whimsical touch, we couldn’t resist these gorgeous little cloches from Out of Love either!

To complement her gorgeous gown, Abbé carried a cascading bouquet of orchids and hydrangea, which were echoed in the arrangements for the ceremony. We think Scott liked them too!

Abbé and Scott wanted their wedding to look and feel elegant, so we used silver and mirrored vases, luxuriously filled with hydrangeas and orchids and accessorised with dozens of mercury votives….you can never have enough flickering candlelight!

The elegant theme continued for dinner with mirrored vases on exquisitely dressed tables. This was truly a Claridges affair!

This isn’t the first time we’ve been featured on Flowerona, because last year she caught us in full flow on stage at the New Covent Garden Flower Market, for their Summer Wedding Flowers Event. This was an event that we really enjoyed because it not only gave us the chance to showcase our work, but to talk about what we love…the business of flowers. Apologies if I look rather crazed, but I do tend to wave my arms around a lot once I get started!! You can see Rona’s full report of the event here.

As so very often happens in our job, we were on hand (behind a conveniently placed tree!) to transfer the ceremony flowers from the church to the reception at Brandshatch Place, before the guests arrived.

The ballroom of the hotel was exquisitely dressed by Elizabeth, and our elegant trumpet vases filled with lights and topped with domes of white hydrangeas gave height and glamour to the room. The week before Christmas, Euphoric took to the road and headed to the tranquil Welsh countryside for the wedding of Marc and Lucy. The venue was Plas Cilybebyll (pronounced killybebeth!), a private country house which the couple had booked for the whole weekend. The wedding, expertly co-ordinated by Lester Gethings from No.10 Wedding Design & Management brought many of the suppliers from London, which was no mean feat considering the fact that we had sun, rain, wind and black ice!

Marc and Lucy were married in the tiny local church (tucked away down a winding lane, under moss covered trees) where Lucy carried a bouquet of white Gypsophila, which she’d set her heart on (more gyp later).

The reception was held in the Petit Chateau in the grounds of the house. In this intimate setting, we dressed the tables with silver and crystal candelabras, crystal candlesticks and mercuried votives. Collections of low vases, filled with softly scented pink waxflower were grouped on every table, creating an elegant and understated style.

All through the design process, Lucy had said that she really wanted to have a big ball of gyp hanging in the house. The speaches took place in the hall, so we hung it there from the beautiful brass chandelier, where it looked amazing with the petal covered wedding cake from Peggy Porschen in the background.

For the first cake we used Peonies, which have to be one of THE most popular flowers for summer weddings. These gorgeous blooms with their multi-layered petals and soft pastel shades, are perfect for a romantic cascading decoration in May and June.

For something bolder in colour with a touch of the exotic, fabulous purple Vanda Orchids create a striking centrepiece. Complementing these, delicate trails of Clematis add softness and tone perfectly with the orchid heads.

For a look that evokes an English summer garden, Emily edged the cake with ethereal lace ribbon and we chose a romantic combination including variegated trails of Periwinkle, heads of lime green Viburnum and white Queen Anne’s Lace.
